Somehow attacked my own village, lost all my troops

Yeah, so I somehow attacked my own village. Then, I cancelled the attack and it took away all my troops. Am I able to my troops back by an admin or something?

I really didn't expect day 1 to have a poor, naive "can i get a reset i just lost troops ((" post.

I should've expected it.

Basically, if you fuck up in strategus, you must deal w/ it. If strategus fucks up and you lose things, you must deal w/ it.

If a game-breaking gear/troop bug arises later in the game...

I figured something out that day!

I exactly remember my order there xD "Hold that hill, dont fall back, dont push, build forward base"

After 2 minutes we start capping the flags and I was still building stuff at spawn xD weirdest moment in strat 5 xD

The same happened to me. I immediately attacked my village after conquering it. lost all troops as well by canceling the battle.
the thing is I can't recall that I would have pressed "attack village".
So can someone give me a hint what I did wrong to initiate that second battle or how to avoid this from happening again.
 I don't want this to happen again.

That kind of sentiment does not fit in well with a socialist, cradle to grave nanny state mentality.  You are obviously not mod or admin material.

I can't really tell how much time was in between. Since there is no known bug I for now guess I just was stupid and accidentally hit the wrong button. If it is a new bug there will be more posts incomming. So thanks so far and if there are more reports incomming I will check battle logs or whatever needed.

That's why if it happens again I hope the person being effected doesn't hit the 'cancel' button because I would be interested to see how the battle tries to resolve and in theory no troops would be lost if it went ahead and you took the village from yourself.

Edit: he says it happened as well right when he conquered the village.

Sounds like a bug making you attack it, other than getting a dev to look at it my recommendation would be never to hit the 'cancel attack' button

As this seems to be a new error this strat it may be the result of a change made to this strat to prevent a known 'gold duping exploit' where players attack their friends on the tick where they enter a fief. Effectively allowing them to transport trade goods large distances or be in 2 places at once for the purposes of trading.

The fix for this bug is that now there is some form of order of priority between attacking/being attacked and entering a fief (whilst before, both could happen simultaneously).

This may lead to some confusion as I believe historically when you attacked a fief you are also entering the fief at the same time. Crazy speculation is that it prioritised your 'attack' tick on the map before it allowed you to enter the fief and did that independently. But then registered your initial attack on the fief after you'd already entered.

I'm probably miles off with this speculation as it does not appear to be happening to everyone.

Was this immediate as in the second your first battle ended? Or was there 1-3 minutes in between your first battle ending and the 2nd one being triggered?

Do you have links to both battles because I'm lazy?

I'm waiting for my village battle to initiate (still almost 18 hours or so away), but I've set my char to "Move" to the fief (so that it won't try to attack again).

Glad I read the forums, people are helpful with suggestions, and we have poor souls (aka guinea pigs) who get fucked over before I do.
