Aw man ...  I was looking forward to an actual "anything goes" duel tournament.

I think people who donated for rewards should have double the vote power.

That's what I hoped for, even mentioned no restrictions in sign picture. But poll...
It still might change though, just 5 votes needed.

Personally I'd like a nice compromise between anything goes and a more structured style. Stf only and armor cap (so you don't have level 38 str whores in full plate that cant be killed and will crushthrough 100% of the time), but still ft1 so that every single duel counts. Even if you're the favorite to win but get unlucky, them's the breaks, better luck in the other bracket.

I'm not particularly opposed to a best of 3 or ft3 tourney, but I think a ft1 could be a little more interesting given the format of the tourney, which will have NA vs EU (vs AUS) in some matchups. Even with high ping you can probably kill plenty of players at least once in a match that lasts several rounds, however you're obviously going to be at a huge disadvantage the longer the match goes on for... why not allow you or the other disadvantaged player in a matchup to have a chance?

IMO the point of tournaments is for people to show off how skillful they are not how lucky they can get. I mean with no level cap or gear cap i can roll in level 38 with a 24/30 build in full plate and a swiss halberd and just skey and left swing until i win

Which is why there should still be gear restrictions and a level cap.

I personally like the 1 match as well.  The point of the tourney is to have fun -- not just to find the best player ever.  Of course skill will win this 99% of the time, but a little luck/randomness thrown in makes it more fun imo.
