inb4 we basically get spore for character creation :D. I assume belly+arms only apply to thickness and not the length of arms... I would create mega long arms and gain superior reach :D.

We discussed character scale, and it's a tricky subject, due to the gameplay implications. We were thinking that we might just assign size randomly to every new character :)

Height has some serious implications. Tall character would gain huge reach but on the other hand would be easier target for ranged... As long as the hit detection system gets scaled with it.

It would have to be, otherwise it would feel very off. If we do it it probably will be small though, like a few percent up and down. Needs to be playtested to know for sure.

I like the idea of having different sized characters/character hit boxes. If it can be done it would add some minor variety to the battlefield which would be nice for immersion among other things.

I remember that in Darkfall most "serious" pvper took dark elves just because they had the smallest hitbox. Hope this kind of min maxing is somehow discouraged.

Why you don't base it on strength / agility ?
More strength you have = tall avatar.
More agi = small avatar.

can be nice reflect what your character is.

Rust does that, they create a character (sex, color, face) based on your steam id :P

Also whose idea was it to use scrum? :D
