They have to do a slow ass upswing (And most likely hold for a half a second). Spam them, do the quick nudgey punch that everyone can do to cancel their upswing, spam them more, move out of the way like a slippery snake. If you're fighting Rohypnol you're fucked anyways, if not then you could probably do all of these. If you can't do any of these because there's people around then you're also probably fucked anyways.

like 1 out of 40 players uses a crushthrough weapon, easy to avoid.
As said, its much harder than you think, you are basically chancess against any other solid 2hander or polearmer, upswings are extremy slow and can be canceled anyway, as already mentioned, by a simple nudge.
Also, it requires more than 24 Str to crush trough something, which automatically gives you a lack of agility

I can outduel most people with a 1h sword if they're using a maul unless they're a really good player. Crush through isn't that broken

Yeah, on a second thought maybe i was a little extreme in my opinion, but i still find it quite frustrating that a guy can punch right through something like huscarl shield, take off half your hp and on top of it all knock you down, maybe it would be less frustrating if instead of doing damege it would only throw you to the ground if you were defending? (of course it would still wreck you if you were not, and getting knocked by a mauler is already half a death sentence anyways...)

before complaining about something, try it. I guess u never played mauler before, well you would not complain if u were.

U will see how hard it is to kill someone with a maul and u will see how to kill a mauler!

If you see a mauler coming at you with a charged overhead swing, interrupt him. You have a quick 1h weapon and nudging and even kicks at your disposal. Or dodge or jump away.
Don't try to rely on defense when that happens.

Also, 100% recommend trying out a mauler character. It's far from an auto-win choice of a weapon, though very frustrating to deal with in some situations. Like a strategically placed long mauler with cover from a teammate.

How to fight a person that uses a crush through weapon.

1. Recognize that player is most likely a homosexual
2. Look at what armor that player is wearing
3. If you think the player is good, go to part 8
4. S key that homo and spam
5. If he is stupid, he wont A or D key at all, he'll just keep going forward.
6. Kick him, then spam.
7. Repeat until dumb homo is dead

8. Jump around or run around like an idiot to confuse him, and hope your team mates will help you.
9. If no one is coming to help, use your speed to make sure you can hit him and spam, yet he cannot hit you back because you're running away like an idiot.
10. If none of this works, simply avoid that player.

Actually if u have much agi, mauler should be no problem for you. If you are high str with a long or great sword, then you're fucked! U can hardly spam that guy!

and dont stab maulers. Blocked stab with maul = free crush through becouse stun

I don't like the long maul... While fighting someone with it, they zone you out with the overhead swing. If you get too close, they nudge you extremely far back and repeat the process. (Rohyp)

Roh loves the nudge when you're near a wall when he uses the longmaul. Spams it to ensure your back is facing the wall to ensure you can't backpedal from the overhead of doom.
