Yes our burgers are the best... Jesus himself gave the recipe of the hamburger to George Washington shortly before his crucifixion.
But the great american burger does in fact require vegetables. It's a fine balance of yin and yang... those nasty western burgers you see with Patty, Cheese, Bacon, Onion rings on a bun... those are all yang and no yin, Foul imposters that should not even be classified as a burger. Might as well just grind Beef, Pork, Chicken together with a few sticks of butter and deep fry the resulting combination and then put it on a bun with a quarter pound of mayonnaise and a half pound of cheese.
To make a great burger you need Fresh beef, ground just before cooking the patties. NEVER FROZEN, Butchered within the past 5 days.
Season your patty well, but take note: DO NOT ADD SALT UNTIL AFTER THE PATTY HAS BEEN COOKED!!! Fucking amateurs!
Fresh vegetables... Iceberg lettuce ONLY, No spinach leaves or I will fucking cut you... Get fresh tomatoes, Those nasty old tomatoes that have the texture of like watermelon... fucking gross!... I want crisp fucking tomatoes sliced within 2 hours of me eating the burger... Onions tend to stay fresh for a good time so just make sure you don't have an old wilting onion and you are safe. Make sure to keep your veggies cold, which keeps them crisp... If you lay all your veggies out in the warm heat before u put them on the burger you get droopy sad grandma's-boob veggies.
Invest in a good bun... I like potato rolls because they do not overpower the flavor and their semi sweet flavor blends well with the burger.
And finally the sauces... Take the time to make a good Garlic/Herb Aioli, this is the ultimate sauce and once you try it on a burger you will cry every time you have to resort to putting mayo on a burger when you don't have the Aioli...
Everything else is optional, including but not limited to: Dill Pickle Slices, Cheeses of any kind, Ketchup, Mustard, Sauteed mushrooms, Avocado, Caramelized onions, Bacon etc...
There you have it, The worlds greatest achievement. Passed down from Jesus to God's chosen country: America.

loginThere's not many options to eat where I live... There is no good Pho soup on this island (Island of Hawaii)... The mexican food is so-so, there's one place that does a killer fish taco... I think there is one Italian and one french restraunt in this whole town, I'm scared to try... The only good pizza here costs like 30$ for what I would call a "small sized pizza" (10-12 inch diameter if I remember correctly) But we have 2 good burger joints... One (Village Burger in Waimea) of which ranked in the top 10 in the nation on TripAdvisor.com based on customer reviews, and another one called Ultimate Burger which makes a great burger but their service is kind of lacking and they are prone to getting orders wrong.
Leave those nasty, foul, veg-less trashburgers to Mcdonalds, Jack in the box, Burger King and the like.
