Okay Jambi, you just gained some respect from me. Nice games there, trying them all out.

Final Fantasy Adventure (Mystic quest in french):

http://www.hqsports.info/video/Jz-sVQlCoDI/Final-Fantasy-Adventure-Music-4-Endless-Battlefield.html --> unforgettable music bring tears to my eyes

This was the second game I ever owned and it still works on my gameboy.

The first game I ever owned was this (rest I borrowed from my cousin):

Of course being a Ninja: Tenchu (the original with map editor).

The NES and Duckhunt revolutionized my personal world in gaming.

Oh and of course what I would argue as the most difficult but rewarding game that I've ever played:

EDIT:

Ok I had to add these two

Contra:

whoaaa! yes i got it maybe 5 or 6 years ago! the gameplay was really similar to JA but... i don't know... after a while i just leaved it. Also i say Shadow Company as a good strategy guerrilla merc. but is not turn based. is more RTS like.

Populous 3: The beginning - just recently finished it.
(click to show/hide)

State of War - a virtually unknown, obscure old RTS. Pretty great gameplay mechanics, huge explosions and incredible, challenging difficulty. Stuck on last level after countless replays.

I know that game. And I finished it once.

It is hard like hell, to be honest. The missions are insane.

Thing is that I played this many, many years ago.

But I managed to beat it, I remember that.

BTW this was one of those RTS games where I really HAD to think and not just spam units to instapwn everything.
And that's good.
