Master of Magic

I love that game, between that Syndicate , master of Orion, star control 2 and xcom you have my favorite DOS games

Oh and secret weapons of the Luftwaffe,  and baldurs gate of course

Favorite commodore was airborne ranger and a stealth fighter game, and loved old skool Wipeout
Greed is for amateurs...Chaos, Disorder, Anarchy now that's fun!

Master of Magic.. I recently played through it a couple of times. Fantastic game, and there is STILL nothing like it out there. (That I'm aware of)

It is simply incredible that no one has picked it up and made an instant win game from that concept. Even just making a remake with proper graphics, a tad of balancing and you have a great game. I tried all the "spiritual successors" I could find, but they are all crap compared to it.

For those that don't know it, It's like civ, mixed with magic and tactical battles, mixed with 2 planes. Mixed with endless starting options.. A bookshelf of different spells.. It's pure creative and unleashed freedom in strategy and  immersion. Try it!

Ah that was a cool game!
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

A shot of thrill to hide the pain.

There is a lot of great games here. I play most of them but didn't see that someone posted Severance: Blade of Darkness. I dont know how many times I beat that game, it is masterpiece.

I think it was the first medieval dueling/fighting game on a computer.

Played the heck out of it. Loved it. Still love it. Still play it, from time to time.

Tetris ?

I can hardly remember of anything good and older I played. Well yes pong but it's not awesome.

+1 for Dungeon Keeper  :o

Umm, Oblivion?

Yes, I'm also part of those that loved Oblivion. Obviously it was because I installed like a few hundreds of mods. Some of the biggest and best mods could turn the fail leveling and difficulty system (that still got me hooked like 300 hours with quests and all that crap)  into a really passionating game. Furthermore, modders made literally over 9000 new quests, monsters, weapons, armors, spells, npc, or even entire towns. The graphic enhancement mods also were extremely good. Texture packs, wheather mods, day and night effects on chimneys and windows. Trees, buildings, signs, doors, flora... hell, even rocks got modded.

I can say that Oblivion was maintained as a state of the art game for at least 4 years thanks to the mods. As is, it was already good, although some problems became frustrating after a while. But with mods you could effectively get a beautiful game with the liberty of Daggerfall and the quests of Morrowind.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Wing Commander (you pathetic descendants of monkeys!) or Elite (on C64 and PC) and I still have my original 1992 Championship Manager 3.5" floppy...
The word is "anyway" not "anyways". You are not Gabby Hayes.
