High ping

Hello, it is some weeks now, that i'm having some weird problems of high ping.

My normal ping is around 38-42, but lately it is almost always from 60 to 80. Today it is 150, even if yestarday afternoon i had again my normal ping (39).
It continuosly change, from day to day, and often even in the same day (usually it is still playable, but sometimes, like today, it isn't). The weird thing is that it is totally stable while i'm playing: if  i join with 40, it remain 40; if i join with 150, it remain 150. But, if i stop to play and come back few hours later, it is almost always changed (usually in worse).

My internet connection is fiber 75mbit/s, and if i try to make a speedtest, it always confirm that. But, if i try to make a download test while i'm experimenting high ping on crpg, it usually download between 2mb/s and 3mb/s, which is anyway lower than my usual speed (but still, it should be more than enough for not having these ping issues), which i'ts almost always higher than 3mb/s.
If i play on native, my ping is ALWAYS between 40 and 50, even if on crpg it is 150 (like it's happening today), and also on any other internet game, i don't have any problems with my ping.
This situation is starting to become really boring...what should i do?

Try running a traceroute towards the crpg server when you have high ping, I had a similar problem in the past and it was caused by my Isp routing.

This should be crpg server's IP ---> 176.57.143.15

I'll check on internet if i find a guide that teach me how to do this traceroute. But then, how could i solve the problem?

If you have windows 7 open the Start menu then click on Run, type cmd then press enter

if you have win10 type cmd in the search area of the applications bar

Then type tracert 176.57.143.15 and press enter, it  looks like this

when the traceroute is finished copy the results or make a screenshot of them

I'll check on internet if i find a guide that teach me how to do this traceroute. But then, how could i solve the problem?

If the issue is ISp related you can't do much, when i had your problem I sent a message to fastweb/telecom with the results of the tracert, telecom fixed the problem quite fast ( probably because there were a lot of people with the same issues)
For some time i used a free vpn, which decreased the ping by a lot, but i don't remember how it was called, there should be  many free  vpn tho.
It seems that pingzapper/Wtfast has lowered the ping on crpg  for some people  http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/can-someone-please-help-me-figure-out-my-ping-problem/msg1151372/#msg1151372

Also, do you have a dynamic IP? because i have one and everytime i shut down and then start my pc I have a different ping, sometimes i have to reset my modem a few times to get the "right" routing and a low ping on crpg.

I've the same problem.
The result of my traceroute in this week was negative: in some hops i'had 100+ ms of ping, but in game ~30ms... Ovviusly if u have high ping at half, your game lags.

I called telecom and now im playing normally, but my ping was increase from 23ms to 30ms.

(È un problema generale allora, infatti dal tuo trace vedo che il ping si alza ij germania verso l'ultimo passaggio e poi hai al primo step (che è il percorso dal tuo pc al router) hai un ping poco piu alto, forse sei in wifi?)

(Tu hai risolto chiamando telecom, ma che gli hai detto? Di solito non capiscono assolutamente nulla quelli che rispondono al call center. Tra l'altro ho notato che a me sono aumentati anche i ping verso server native dove prima avevo ping bassi)

I'm connected to the router with the cable.
Lately i'm also starting to have problems with my connection (problems that started in a second moment respect my high ping in crpg): my download speed can arrive even below the 100KB/s..KB!). So i've tried to call 1000 times fastweb, but everytime the speed test confirm that i'm having around 60mbit/s (sometimes lesser, sometimes even more) and so they claim that i do not have any problem. The weird thing is that on native i've almost never more than 50 ping, even when my download speed is penous. Honestly i don't know what to do:S

Edit: for example, now speedtest.net claim my internet speed is 65mbit/s, but i'm doing a speed download test with a "test file", and i'm downloading at 20kb/s!!Now i'm having an high ping also on native, but on crpg i've still the double of that ping (around 70 on native, around 140 on crpg) and, as i said, this speed problem is a new thing, which started after i started having high ping on crpg.

Its the same for me, but between my home and crpg's servers there ara some nodes. During this passages my ping, in the afternoon, is high and when it arrives at server, its low :\.

Damn, i don't know what to do with this problem..it became even worse now.
I've always 150+ ping on crpg. On native, it depend by the servers: on ludus and some others i've always around 50, while on IG_battleground and some others i've always 100+ (but still lesser than cprg).
Now i always download at around 3mb/s, the speedtests keep saying i'm having 70mbit/s connection and the pingtests says i've no lost of packets.
What should i do?

It's not about your isp, we're running on a potato server. My ping shouldn't be more than 30, but i've 80 to 120 ping on eu1 nowadays and i think that's why eu1 pop. went down from ~50 to 20, most of us suffering from this shit.

But then why i'm having this high ping also on some native servers?
And plus i hadn't this problem until 1-2 months ago

Its the same for me.

High ping starts at 15.30/16.00 until the night. Morning return normal: 25/26
