I think you lose 30% speed and 30% damage.

Edit: Numbers are for when you use a 2h as a 1h with a shield.

Executioner sword:    1h – 36c – 20c – 97 speed

If it's an actual secondary mode (like switching to polearm halfswording) the % dmg and speed reduction doesn't get used. If you are using a 2H with a shield and forcing it into 1H mode it gets the penalty.

The executioner sword has an actual 1H mode on it right? I can't remember.

yes it has. And the 1H mode is even better than the 2H. It's damn fast and does crazy damage. U wanna get more than 15 kills in 1 minute? Keep spinning and leftspam with that weapon and you will get them even without a desktop

The secondary modes of weapons can actually be thought of as completely separate weapons.  The executioner sword has a one-handed secondary mode so for all intents and purposes it is a one-hander in secondary mode; no penalties.  Also, there was a patch a long time ago that removed the damage penalty for two-handers used with a shield, so even if it was one of those two-handers it would still do full damage. 

Coincidentally this also affects the damage of two-handers used from horseback.  So any two-hander that is usable with a shield does full damage from horseback (still gets a speed penalty though).  For this reason I'm kinda surprised that I haven't seen more mounted Persian battle axes.

98 speed, 39 cut and 96 length at +3? Well, don't expect it to stay like that longer than until next patch now that balancers know about this.

Thats not that bad tho, it dont feel like 98 at all. It doesnt seem overpowered to me, 1h spash is pretty weak.
