I would think swimming is better than running. It's defiantly more tiring and less likely to have long term problems with your knees/metatarsal bones that you could possibly get from running everyday.

if you wanna be a real alpha man get outisde of your cosy indoor gym caves and out into the fresh air. Go run up some mountains, swim in some rivers and chuck some rocks and tree logs.

 Pretty hard to find them - mountains, rocks, tree logs et cetera - in big city

PS. Another thread reached full retardation stage. I'm proud of you guys :P

SWIMMING AWESOME! :)

Anything with running yes. Have a look into how good running is for the body and brain. Its natural, if you understand human biomechanics, not so long ago our ancestors were running on the savannah, wearing down animals in teams.

In fact there is probably no animal like the human which can long as we can (theoretically). You can still see that in some parts of Africa for example. There people can run for 8 hours in the heat and hunt each animal until their victim can't run anymore. Nowadays we are not able to do so because we haven't lived like that for generations (this is not supposed to be a judgement :) )

Dunno about mountains but there is certainly a hill or two nearby, unless said city is massive shithole. Nice cities have parks for recreation, forest or two, river(s) with accompanying human made islands many have smaller mountains nearby. And if you live on outskirts, you have all of that minutes away.

City that only has roads and buildings is not a city, it is concrete prison.

Parks - sure, plenty of them, forests - well, if you, like me, live in the center of the city, forest is definitely not an option. There's also no mountains and no hills, most of big cities are placed on plains I think. And there's definitely no rocks or tree logs to chuck

Well fact is, NA players are mostly casual normies not knowing mechanics & who would have no chance against competitive EU players on the same ping.

I dont see why people should have to run outside, it could for many reasons be unfitting to their time schedules etc. If they can do the same in a gym, and choose to do so, why question it? Sure we are ditching nature more and more, but if people choose to do so by their own will then by all means.

Exactly you guys have it right. Said mountains are a luxury for most, so you just gotta be creative where you can, find that park or find a good accesible way to escape the city for a bit. And yeah Saxon you are right, because most people run soley on road/ tarmac which is terrible for your joints and muscles without good shoes. The trick is to finding a balance that fits you and your body. Anyway I think we have made some progress, balance is great, strength and conditioning is great to supplement other activity, because lets face it being fit and able to do stuff is a great thing, and you should all be proud that you^re getting out and having a blast for that good ol endorphin surge and having fun while you're at it.
