I've read that he wasn't just part of the party but actually supported the way war was "conducted" which indirectly is maybe now seen as a way of approving of what happened.
But (!) the same article noted that it is yet unclear if the throwers were actually Bosnian. Seems there is a good chance that those could have been Serbians (Serbs?).
