Melee forum + Melee game + No melee server = no melee

Go EU 3 . Then you gus will start complaining about shielders having shields and then Cavs having Horses. Just no, Go to EU 3 or make 2 armies in strat with melee weapons only and play your melee battle there.

We had once a melee only server, which consisted basically of the same few try-hards. And this happened when the mod still had players, can't even imagine now.

yup, melee only was getting boring very fast. Was fun getting warm there for 5 minutes but nothing more.

The playerbase is just too small. We barely have people on EU_1 and EU_7 now. Although it seems there are a bit more people playing now school has ended, it's still too few for another server.

Melee only was decent the first rendition, good clusterfucks. The last rendition was basically lots of people with a lot of agi running away from you and hitting your in the back later. You need the area denial cav and ranged provides.

You liar. There has never been a pure melee only server.
However, there was an infantry only server without ranged (no melee cavalry) which was named "Melee" something.
Furthermore long melee weapons like spears and pikes as well as melee weapons with crushthrough weren't allowed.

I bet you would refer to a server which only allowed german greatswords as a "melee only server".

Nordmen Melee only server was fucking great at times, Fighting along side Tor killing off 7 dudes at once warming up before battle server. Not forgetting to mention a few players getting perma-banned just for spawning with arrows, ahhh remember it like it was yesterday.

But that's when cRPG was in it's very prime, melee only server now will either make EU_1 dead or the melee server it'self will be dead. It's not possible anymore.

I would kill for a melee only server. I do not play this mod as much anymore like I used to because there is nothing more discouraging than losing 75%-100% of your health to people you can not see or engage. It never made any sense to me why you would play range on one of the best melee combat simulators out there. I guess when you suck at melee you get on your knees open up and embrace the skilless ranged lifestyle.
