Biased admins?

Today I witnessed Jona banning a user for 1 hour in the dtv server. For leeching multiple times on multiple maps, he was reluctant at first and asked Rando to ask a different admin to do it. I'd like to bring up this point because Jona banned Saint for 4 hours due to one tk. Concluding line -

biased badmins.

Leeching is leeching, no matter how many players are on the server. A leeching player is a player that only increases the amount of bots, and does not contribute to killing them.

Since you have access to banhistories as an admin, it may be that some people are already known to be repeated rule breakers ( including "secret" alts ), thus get longer bans. Also you never know what is going on in I chat between admins ingame that may lead to a ban decision. Without this insight some bans may appear erratic.

What you're saying sounds reasonable, but please try to leave reason out of it. Jona is clearly a badmin for having banned best NA after teamhits and or teamkills.

Salah_Huddin had a crystal clear record thus far. The only reason he was banned at all instead of simply being kicked was so that he couldn't instantly rejoin to continue leeching. Your butt buddy Joan had quite a muddy record.

Bias is something everyone haves and it is incredibly(read impossible) to avoid. The best way I have come up with to avoid it is delegate to people without bias. I try to not take any actions against people in my clan/strat faction to avoid "being biased for letting them off too easy" and avoid banning my foes to avoid "badmin getting rid of enemies". However this just makes you an admin who doesn't do shit and annoys the other ones by asking them to handle it.

yeah, the guy who Jona banned was salah_huddin, who I'm pretty sure doesn't even speak english so I doubt there was a bias there, but there was a conflict over some other guy who seemed to have not been contributing at all prior to salah_huddin being banned.

Smoothrich was the best admin of all time. When he permabanned Kesh back in the day I fell in love.

Right, I forgot about that. Rostam_of_Mithrim had recently retired and was kinda just chilling as a level 1 peasant while we were up against the latter waves of DTV, and as a result had a KDR of 0-4 or something. A select few people were saying he was leeching and yet every time I looked he was active and jumping round inside the fence (where someone should be if they can't do much else to contribute). I was getting flack from good ole Rando since Rostam was "in my strat faction and I was going too easy one him." A) He's not in my strat faction, as if that matters, and B) he wasn't deserving of any punishment, in my eyes. That is when I told Rando to take up the issue with any other admins in the server to see if it was "my bias" or simply the fact that no rules were being broken that was the reason he hadn't be booted yet.

oh shut up, Jona has been doing fine. One of the only ones that made sense receiving adminship.
