It is a shame that anyone that was beat today by the team that will eventually be #1 can have a chance at 2nd or 3rd.

Fun fights first day! Good to watch and fight. Definitely hope there are more of these, it brought out a good amount of teams!

This is what always irked me about single elimination tournaments... there is no reason that the team who lost against the best team in round one or two isn't as good, if not even better than the team that eventually places 2nd. Heck, they might be on par with the top team, just had an off round. This is why double elimination brackets are the best.

I too prefer double elimination tournaments. I just wanted to get a quick tournament done in one weekend rather than have it carry out longer. - It was more of a test project to see if that many people were willing to participate.
Which now that I see many people are interested in this. - Perhaps we can get that double elimination tournament! :D
