It is a shame that anyone that was beat today by the team that will eventually be #1 can have a chance at 2nd or 3rd.
This is what always irked me about single elimination tournaments... there is no reason that the team who lost against the best team in round one or two isn't as good, if not even better than the team that eventually places 2nd. Heck, they might be on par with the top team, just had an off round. This is why double elimination brackets are the best.
