A good dedicated archer build?

I have an archer alt but I have no idea how to build it, and the solid build thread is outdated for the new level/points increases. And since I can't figure out alone how to properly calculate the points & where to put them (aside from really basic things). Can some people post good dedicated archer builds?

I use the Rus Bow w/ Bodkin arrows, and for a backup I use a short Nordic sword.

Share your builds so I can piss more people off on EU1. Thanks

but 7 pd aint enough to hurt.

30-27-24 str is needed to even output damage now, say some current meta archers
and you dont need so much wpf with the more pd you get 30-15 or 27-18 are solid

(i'm going 24/18 because i suck )

Reason for this is because my archer build sucks. I played with my archer alt long and realized it's just shit, so now I'm gonna go ahead and try a better build. Archers are weak, contrary to belif yeah. And the convo was me making fun of a clan who claims to have invited pros and is "invite only" but full of average players like me.

welp, every clan has its tryharders, maybe mercs have a bit more
rules have changed, but I came to Mercs kinda late, so I dont know how it was before.

Before, it was a clan of "Pros" aka average players who were tryhards as you said. You could only join by invitation and that's why I laughed and made fun of it. Don't get me wrong man, I suck at this game. So bad my score depends on how bad luck my enemies have. But at least I'm not a tryhard and never will be.

I guess they changed the invitation, I actually didn't know. So nevermind. Also here's a build I thought could be good..  I think, if you wanna go balanced.

Just a lot of skill point conversions to get that, it's neat

well I had to apply aswell, was like 7 weeks of recruitment time and some bullshit to get me in.

Just try the builds (mine and yours) with a stf for some rounds, and youll see what youll like the most

Then again hitting the head fast and Easy is more fun than nothing

Honestly, on EU1 sometimes I can't get out of spawn by the time 3 cavs have ambushed me from the other team. Even just wearing the Saracen's Padded Shirt.  This build hits hard, however it's really nerfed on the movement/agility department. Severely and critically I'd say.

My build. I was running it for like ... I can't even remember. If you want to go pure archer, go either for 27/21 or 30/18. No IF, PS, just WM and ATHL. The first one will give you a better speed, these 3 agi points change everything I'd say. You listed the main danger of 30/18 : the speed. You'll take one year to draw your bow, and another year to move because you're being chased. Unless you really want to deal damage, go for 27/21. The damage gain isn't that important, compared to all the sacrifices you have to make for that 10th PD point.

PS: I'd rather go for a level 36 hybrid build, at any day.

Algarn, I'm really getting into archery right now, and I have my lvl 36 main unused (i dont like pole anymore)
I like running away and shooting, and on my alt i currently run:

24/18 lvl 34

1h:45
archery: 146

Weapon Master:6
Athletics:6
Iron Flesh:3
Power Strike:6
Power Draw:8
(using +3 Bow/+3 Rus bow +3 Bodkins from armoury)
I'd rather have something speedier, but ill die in one hit then (using +3 fur coat/+3 leather jerkin/+3 tribal warrior, I will probably use your Byrnie later)

suggestions for lvl 36 char? respec this saturday i believe.
as long as it does mediocre damage its good, fighting with 1h also helps me alot with escaping

27/18 or 24/21 should make the job while being almost maxed up on every skill. If you want to hybrid, go for ~ 60wpf in melee with something like the grosses messer. Used it with 32wpf and 5PS, and I was already hurting. Considering you're going to wear armor and have STR at the same time, you'll always end up with 60+ hp in any way. As far I remember, you can't max out stats tho. 5 athl with 21 agi and maxed out PS would be better than the opposite I guess, knowing you aren't going to wear a heavy armor. Level 37 for life, it allows so many shit to be done with builds
