Afaik, merge happens after some time, regardless of mass.

merge happens after a certain time depending on the mass (the bigger you are the longer it takes for you to merge)

A game more unforgiving than warband

It's more or less Darwinism in a game, I love it.

If you guys liked it, it looks like a browser spinoff of Osmos. It is available for PC and Android, not sure about IOS. If I remember correctly, there is no multiplayer though.

Osmos is a much older game, this is a spin-off of that, if anything.

That is exactly what I was trying to write. Maybe was a bit unclear. Well, let me edit that then.

Missed oppertunity for the developers of Osmos to make it multiplayer.

Well, there was a time when game developers cared about making good games one could truly enjoy playing alone. Multiplayer wasn't the first priority.

I can't say Osmos is one of those games, it was fun for 5 levels and then it got boring for me.

Same, there was also a part of Spore along the same lines, but like the rest of that game, it was crap.

Actually the first stages of Spore were pretty good, especially the microscopic stuff, it's the latter stages that sucked major horse cock. It's a shame they butchered that game though, it was meant to be so much more complex and less of a cartoony kids game.

I don't think anyone has been as ambitious enough to even attempt to make something like spore far more complex, the game had five stages that were like five different games, you can't really expect every single stage to be as complexed and detailed as you are expecting? For the devs that would be like them making five different complex intricate games for the price of one.

When I said it was meant to be more complex, it WAS, they turned it into more of a kiddy game at some point during development, too long ago for me to remember all the details but they're easy to find on google. I think there were originally 7 or 8 stages rather than just 5, I think those 5 stages were also dumbed down too, the game didn't look like a kids cartoon either from the original screenshots from my memory . Basically it was most likely dumbed down and kiddified for the masses, which in turn obviously took away it's quality and made it dumber.
