Bring back Player Change map voting

Hey all, so I'd like to bring some democracy back, at times when servers are low pop (especially Eu 2 Siege) its crucial we can change the map. I'm specifically talking about the huge conquest maps, which are great and all but just do not cater for low player count. Also if somone could clarify as to why this feature was removed in the first place? It's not like it can be abused because you need 51% of the vote (simple majority) for the motion to pass.

Would be a nice step foward in my opinion, what do you think?

I guess the map-poll-change needs to be controlled/limited then. Otherwise tryhard-funny-trolls spamming it constantly and you get a similar situation as I remember from the FullInvasion2 mod once, where you couldn't play a single map for more than 2-3 mins.

I think it would save the population tho, if working, when you get a crap map in EU1/2 and no admin is available or willing to change it.

Yes for sure, but as it stands you can only get 1 chance of submitting a poll per map. Then you need to get a 51% vote. So all in all for siege anyway it shouldn't be a problem if the Native ZHG server is anything to go by.

This is not possible because all offical server got access to the same maps directory and the gamemode is bound to the map file.
So it is possible to start dtv, strat and so on.
Ergo: No warband mapvote

what does have same maps directory with map voting?
Does it mean that all servers has shared rules for changing maps?
