Movement Animations Update

For this video we have a quick update on our new movement animations for walking and running, they're as always very much Work in Progress and we do need to tweak them here and there before they would be considered final, more iterations will follow!

We're all working very hard on the game, however most of that work is unfortunately not visual (code code code) or yet ready to show, but we're getting there.
Things don't exist simply because you believe in them, thus sayeth the almighty creature in the sky!

But... can you close those creepy gaps between fingers on the hands?

Not to mention the awkward side-to-side head bobbing that is particularly noticeable in the last animation.

And I'm guessing that the idea is to leave the fingers spread apart so that the thick gloves/gauntlets worn over them would have room to fill the gaps (unlike in warband where your fingers are the same size regardless of whether or not you have thick plate/leather surrounding them). That, or the current hands are just "rough placeholders."

High quality animations, keep up the good work. The guys at http://atsgamers.com/ are highly anticipating your games release. These forums may not be very active or crpg itself anymore but my clans put years into your mod. We were a driving force for the NA community straight out of warband native and we will be playing your new game. Just wanted to let you guys know we are watching and waiting, if you ever need a NA group for stress tests or setting up an NA server we'll be there.

Wow, very realistic.  I personally like all that head and shield bobbing.  I wonder if 1st person will be bobbing around too.

While yes, your head does move during walking/running, it doesn't move independently at all. It only bobs up and down when the rest of your body does... so when the head wobbles around side-to-side it looks a little awkward, and not exactly natural.

My understanding is that they used mocap data to do those animations. So, someone must have run like this in order to get the animation.

It doesn't look so independent to me, it's not like one of those spring-bobble heads...don't forget he's also carrying a lot of armor and weapon weight, which would affect the rest of the body when you run.
