Last time i read about it i had it the same night and a couple of nights after, cant say i enjoy it much. Generally i dont see the "intruder" though, i can keep my eyes closed but somehow im 100% sure something is closing in on me.

I wouldnt wish this upon my worst enemy.

I'm going off my hazy memory of when I looked this up a long time ago so it's all [citation needed], but I think that the nerves that control your eyes are the only consciously controlled muscles that don't get paralyzed (cuz they are hooked up to a different part of your CNS or something???). Obviously your heart and lungs (and pee poo muscles) don't get paralyzed...  :P

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

people are like potatoes, they come in different shapes and sizes and they all are beautifull
masturbating while looking in a mirror isnt wrong unless its the rear view mirror and you are driving a school buss.

it doesnt matter if you are happiest person or an unfortunate weeper, a powerfull beast or a terrifying creature. we are all equal, in the eyes of the reaper.

I was laying sideways and only saw the torso but it was wearing a long dirty coat and would probably have been 9 feet tall if it was real / I could see the rest of the body.
Sounds hot. I wish this would happen to me.

Had it a few times over the course of my life. Most recent (several years ago) incident I was dreaming that I was getting stangled... woke up with something around my neck, couldn't move for maybe 30 seconds (which of course felt like forever) then sat bolt upright and threw my sheets across my room (since that was what I felt around my neck). Of course my sheets managed to knock shit off my bookcase making a loud crash boom bang which woke up my parents. "Everything is fine Mom, I just tripped on my slippers on the way to the bathroom."

I have some sometimes when I do nap. And I think It's a bit of fun, it's like a scarry movie but you re the protagonist. I feel that someone is coming from the stairs, to kill me, I feel his presence. And to break the dream, I know I have to move, but it's really hard, I have to focus all my will in moving my arm, I always succed to move my arm in the end so dunno what happens next.  :D

Then I usually try to have some more rounds, by doing other nap. Once the first nap provoc a sleep paralysis the other next usually do too. The feeling is really strange it's more concious than a dream but you have wierd part like in dream.

About the falling thing: I 've read that's different. It is caused by some part of your brain "switching off" but area in control of your balance are not completly "switched off" so they re a bit buggy and give you the impression to fall.

Yeah my sole experience is the spasm you have when your body regains control, i always wake up at that exact moment. Usually i'm falling hard onto concrete in dream/hallucinating state and as i hit the ground i jolt awake with a spasm as if i'd just hit the ground hard. That's how it always went, pretty interesting though. Wouldn't fancy the freaky 'danger' hallucinations other paralysed folks be talking about.

I get this sometimes too where I am paralyzed in my dream and wake up right as my body can move again. Usually a falling/swimming/running dream but my dream arms and legs feel like they are made of concrete and won't move.

Had this once when I stepped of the curb in my dream, my mind seems intent on trolling me.

Fuck this sleep paralysis shit though, sounds awful.

have you ever had sleep paralysis?

Yes OP, every time I fall asleep, as have you and every human and many mammals. If you meant: have you ever experienced sleep paralysis while awake? Then yes, often, all the time. You should try to asses your own mental health, I think, on a regular basis, and part of that is to monitor yourself as your subconscious takes over. Easiest way to do this has always been to stay aware and awake as your body falls asleep and study the thoughts your subconscious unspools. Of course, sleep paralysis will take hold quite early in this process, but if you dont examine your subconscious you really dont understand yourself much and I would suggest you try it. Although, quite often you wont like what you find, if I know any of you.
I don't know enough
