What I don't understand about this is why are you complaining? You don't have to accept their offers. Would it be better if they just didn't put up any offers at all?
I'll state some of the cases when such offer can be useful.
1) A guy wants to loom one of those items, then he sees he can get the same by spending 5-50k gold less, he would do that by accepting the offer.
2) Other traders can see what items these guys have and offer an exchange.


I've done a lot of trading so I have some experience with marketplace. The truth is, any offers are useful for marketplace and playerbase.

PS: this, of course, doesn't go for the offers like "+3 item for 2 lps + [more gold than a loompoint is worth]", but I don't really think someone would ever accept it, even being a noob.

I feel sorry for them wasting all that time and effort to make virtual money that now isn't worth anything. I think of all my time I spent with crpg I spent less 1 hour in market place and still I have plenty of money and not having 30 looms doesn't hurt me either. It's just a fucking game.

Believe it or not, some enjoy watching money grow even if its, well not really useless but close to it. Corsair for example said how he enjoyed doing simple trade runs in strat as a lone faction just trying to get rich for no reason.

Like mentioned, atleast its better that offers actually exist than not.

I dont see a problem here to be honest. When I have 2 loompoints left and I want an item that costs me 2 looms plus 325 k gold, I still get a better deal than buying the missing loompoint myself for about 370 k or even 350 k gold.

Ofc I could always boycott the the marketplace out of solidarity and get that loompoint myself by retiring but I simply dont value that digital money enough to take it that serious. If I do the trade I get what I want, instantly and I save a bit of money on top. Seems all fine to me.

And lastly as Macropus said, you dont have to accept any offers if you dont want to.

He's the only guy still paying 50k rewards and up in strat battles and this is how. I have 53 +3s that i dont even trade i let sit in the armory and thats how it should be done at this point in the mod.
