I love Dutchy. Made me laugh a good many times in teamspeak, and has played an interesting hand this strategus round switching loyalties around ever so to benefit his wealth for the long game. Same for James, who has stayed true to his course, but I think has tried pretty damn hard to hold together what men, from multiple clans, as he could to this game during these trying times.

I'm with Jona and the Wardens train of thought here. Both causes should be fun to rally behind as a mercenary, equally. (as long as no one rages in teamspeak while commanding, that's when I'll break to one side or the other)

The really sad thing about Strat is that there is no strategy.  It's all about rosters.  If I had a thousand man shiny army, with Jack1 (RIP), Jona, JayJrod, Plumbo, St. Joan and my lads Albus and Sitvek in my roster I could conquer the whole map.  Sad, but true.

Ok, I'm getting good vibes off this war.  It'll be kinda like Dutchy's XP battles, but with a purpose.  If most mercs are outsiders who don't give a damn who wins, we can play this puppy out,  Keep switching sides to make every battle awesome, and we all win.  If you win too quickly on one battle, switch sides.

Kinda my fault In my anger, my last command as High King was for everyone to quit.  And I had meant to as well, but I had men.. and some donkeys... and some cash.  So I kept trading after I folded the Northern Kingdom.  And, needless to say, I took flack for that.  I'm more of a 'do as I say' kinda guy.  But now I got money, I got men, I got gear.  Just don't really have the will to fight.  I like the battles, just hate the drama.

there's people some that like the RP aspect of it, and they come check to check the latest RP...then theres those who like the warfare aspect of it, and check threads specifically for the drama.

Drama creates pressure and stakes, if nothing was at stake, there is no pressure to actually try, those are called xp battles.

When something is at stake you try desperately hard to win it. losing feels bad, but creates incentive to try harder, winning feels great, but it can make you over confident, making it easier to lose the next time...and drama? fuels all of this.

Now, i understand that the majority of NA is actually pretty lame, preferring trading and stress free battle over actual wars...so why even bother? why play strat if you dont like playing it? that makes no sense? if you want stress free xp battles...just go na 1, no stress, no drama, no bitterness over losing something that took you along time to build. if war is not your thing...why the fuck do you still want to play it? i dont get it...
