Yeah, and as GTX has also mentioned the old 2hand stab wasn't OP hence why you "never saw it in duels" so I think it is safe to say that argument is invalid.
From the last EU duel tournament which I played in, which did have many of the good old players in it, I can comfortably state that 2h stab had lost most of its utility. Mind you this is when talking about fights with high wpf and experienced duellers. The risk of stab stun and subsequent free hits made using the 2h stab very situational to use. Only stubborn old fashioned retards like me kept trying to abuse it and it cost me so many hits.
Now of course before people move into range they'll get their stabs up and in duels versus mediocre players or battle situations, 2h stab is extremely useful. Competitive duels, not so much.
