Buff plate

I saw that plate was buffed after the 4.0.1.0 patch but now the values are reverted? Why? Plate is such a huge goldsink but it doesn't give you a run for the money. Barely anyone is using it and it's kinda obvious why. I'm not saying you should be invincible in it but with 10 IF and maximum plate armor it only offers you 1-3 extra hits before you die, depending on your adversary.

Are you still playing with max str build? Because with a small amount of footwork you can actually tank much more. I think plate is incredibly strong currently, especially with str based builds.

29/15 at the moment, which I consider AGI.

Yeah, I understand exactly what you mean by footwork, like a crazed Great Mauler who is just spinning around in a gank overheading like crazy and everyone glancing on him, like Panos back when he was sporting that ugly plate armor. But that doesn't work anymore. People have generally gotten better at ganking and does more damage thanks to stronger builds + WPP. Glancing has decreased because of the higher WPP. As a slow STR plate user you will get ganked more by confident balanced/AGI-builds and all it takes is 2 people to continually stunlock you (with higher damage) and you're done. Even the maximum amount of armor (which I happen to sport) does nothing but prolong the defeat.

Yeah, STR has been pretty much fucked in this mod ever since Tydeus became balancer. No sense crying over spilled milk, respec to agility based build or quit playing.

And here i am, performing way better with str based builds and plate compared to agi whoring builds when ive played nothing but agiwhore for as long as i can remember. Ive even seen on the servers people calling others out "fucking agi whore spammer" and then the other guy responds "but im str build..", and many of the people i see topping scoreboards are on the str side.

Whats your "str" build Gravoth? It seems the old idea of str or agi builds is a bit obsolete with all the stats we have to spread around. You can get the best of both worlds without sacificing much in either speed or damage

1/ I thought title of thread was Butt Plate, immedietly disapointed when I arrived.
2/ This is just QQ thread by bonk because he got fucking slammed by fake peasants last night over and over as we pushed him from stuff, shot him repeatedly with 2-3 dmg arrows and generally made him sore.

An agi build doesn't necessarily need to lose out on much str now. I go 24/24 with 2 IF. It does more damage than yours but still dies in roughly the same amount of hits, maybe 1 hit if its low damage. Plus with agi you can reduce the damage you take by moving away from a hit or force glances. I think IF is still a bit of a waste of stats/skills

I have maxed out my IF, in a good round i can tank insane amounts of damage, upwards to 10 hits. I honestly think IF is overlooked, and 1 point of athl/ps can be overrated for what you miss out on. I will respecc to a minmax balance build soon to see the difference, but so far i actually think str is slightly stronger than agi.

Also balance builds were always the best, and thats how it should be since then both attributes are equally viable. And atm i think theres just as many agi based as str based players.

You should try your old spammy hoplite build. Dude was wrecking my ass yesterday. Insta-stabs, insane damage and constant backpedaling. Can't catch him with 5 ATH.

You cant put hoplite and spam in the same sentence. Hoplite is pretty garbage tier now ive heard, but i am considering going back to it would i get a free respecc without losing my precious kills/deaths ive racked up over the years on my main.

And you shouldnt have any difficulty cathing anyone with 5 athl, especially someone with a shield.

edit: Hoplite is pretty good, but its still disgusting and unenjoyable to play without the stun.
