great patch

got all the moves in the game again, new ones are sweet but need to spar more to figure out my build now. also need to start pumping MC more.

I added you nubert but I do play on like 3-4 characters so... ingame chat not my stronk point.

our foragers aren't really armored like that, + a lot of our people have merch robes already

yeah bit wierd that he was armoured, was wonderin if it was someone tracking scents. but probs from russian town west of us.

Ok I think I might need to talk to one of you about joining you guys (PMs?)

I had 4 active village-mates. 1 just left. 1 is in hospital atm, 1 is only a dedicated farmer. They are cool bunch, and ive put alot of work in this village so Im pretty sad really.

but I don't want to be just a co-hermitage, with no one to even talk to half the time. and I dont think we are going to be able to safely recruit people.

Guys who planted the ram down (that we destroyed) kept lurking outside our village past days and today actually assaulted one of our villagers right outside our walls then ran away when our troops came running out. We picked up the scents and one of the perpetrators was foolish enough to forage outside with active scents... lets just say it was a nice 7v1 gangbang on a mountain :twisted: :twisted:

sounds like tasty revenge! most talk of pvp our end seems to be roaming the starting area. apparently people actually getting good loot from noobs stupid enough to carry master keys or leave gates open.

but yeah haven isnt really at all a pvp game imo. I mean how many pvp fights are prolonged and with unpredictable outcomes? 1%? and how much of even the keenest raiders ingame time is spent actually pvping? 1%?

not saying its a bad thing, its nature of a permadeath game of haven's style. but definitely do not see haven as a competitive game at the combat level.

Yeah definitely not a PvP game. It just a sandbox with permadeath that happens to have to option to cut a fool here and there. If it wanted to be a PvP game it would have to not be permadeath to begin with, and it shouldn't be as easy to hide behind a brickwall (24 hour ram dry time, who's gonna protect it for so long?). The perps had a brickwall as well so the only way to catch them is outside... we spent like 2 hours looking for him, and they aren't really that far away from us.
As for competitive game? Absolutely not :P strict competitive games are much more actual player skill based rather than how much you've grinded one characters stats.

Honestly, I think at this point I wouldn't mind Haven without permadeath. And I do enjoy being able to kill someone permanently, or even the rush when you're getting smacked in PvP. I just think the game would benefit more if it was only full loot or something - I guess this is influenced a bit by me not having that much time to play and the fact that progress is so slow now, and would take forever to come back to the point you were at when you died...

Yeah I enjoy haven alot. but will always be in love/hate with different aspects of this bizarely designed game. and always dreaming of a game with sandbox this deep with m&b combat and no lag  :lol:

About permadeath I think LiF have plans for what I would prefer, basically always stat loss on death. but alot more statloss for criminals. Still got hopes for their mmo version.

lets hope its in a reasonable time as well

EDIT: Banok, I heard from our guys that you can join our village. Apparently they even talked to you already or something? You sticking to the village you just joined for now? :) Could really use another sword holder here, we're not yet done with those guys  :twisted:
