Character is being pushed around by an invisible force.

Regardless of map or character, pressing 'w' will make my character model do the walking forward animation however he's jaggedly pushed backwards. Pressing 'd' causes the backwards walking animation but character choppily moves forward. I've run repair through crpg launcher but that hasn't helped the situation. I've experienced no abnormalities with my computer outside of crpg so I don't think it's the hardware. Any ideas?

Does it work in normal Warband?

If yes: reinstall cRPG completely
If not: reinstall Warband

That sounds like keyboard problem. Just in case, check your keybinds in the menu.

Sometimes I've had my character keep moving in a direction when I had already released the key and he wouldn't stop until I pressed the key for that direction again (like the key detection gets stuck or something). So maybe when that happens try tapping the key for the direction your character is moving.

But he said he has the forward animation, but he is moving backwards.

Sounds more like some corrupt file to me.
