Stupid like all of these tests, there are so many questions where it depends on so many factors if I agree or not or questions that just don't interest me. Or a question like this:

"A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system." Of course it is an advantage - doesn't mean it's a better system.

anyway wasted my time with it:

Too expand a little more on what bloody said about the test been basically moronic, there was a question about theaters and art galleries and weather or not they are deserving of public funding. Its a stupid question to be honest especially given the generalisation made in it. Alot of those galleries, theaters and museums are in old expensive to maintain buildings that actually make the experience along side what they house inside, at least in my view.

I'm going to get some hate, but I noticed that every player from USA that posted their compass did tend more or less to right wing. Only one canadian posted, tho...

Also, what the fuck Obama is doing there ?

Its very important to note that is not where those individuals place themselves, they are plotted on the chart by the website people who gauge each person from what they say on the TV and what they write.

So as we all know, modern politics is all about keeping the party line, saying the things the party wants you to say, so they may not be veru accurate for what the actual individual feels inside. IMO Obama personally would be more left Libertarian as he was a Human Rights Lawyer before hand which says a lot.

Seems like everyone gets pretty much the same. Proves the test is retarded.

Extremist - Leftist, very Libertarian.

hmm... somehow I believe that the gut response(2-5 sec per question) makes most(all?) people more left/libertarian leaning than they would be, I'll post later again with ell thought through answer(30 sec-5 min per question)

Edit1: Revisited the site and did it again making sure to interpret the questions in the direction that the poll makers clearly didn't intend them to be interpreted:

So much potential for heated discussions in a pub in the evening...

Dat left

I blame it on CIV4, I played 200hour Giant earth map game and had 100% luxuries rate at the end... conquered the world "for the betterment of mankind" so I'm kind of an utopian in principle but in practice I'm much more of a cynical pragmatist.

Example:
"It is morally wrong to eat babies"

Quick "pub/workplace" answer: Strongly Agree

Detailed "proper" answer: Strongly Disagree
Context! What moral framework? Can something be "wrong" at all, or just "more or less wrong" compared to something else? This blanket statement is a crude generalization that doesn't portray the real world, only some ideal platonic world of ideas, therefore Strongly disagree to such a crude and poorly formulated statement.

Update1:

I'm surprised at how many lefties there are in the community. Thought there woulda been a relatively balanced mix.

Personally I dislike all politics (although i'm kinda studying it at university) especially when one of my lecturers is extremist communism and starts flashing his party membership card the first time I met him
This test is not an accurate representation. It claims me, Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela have similar political views. Nooooope.
