Not trying to crap on your parade, but 500 players is a lot, where do you envision getting those from on such a short notice? Even if you send a message to each cRPG account, send a message to each forum account and invite every Kickstarter backer for a one time sneak peak, you would probably be short. Though 200 people would probably carry the point across too.

Seems like you should at least let people play a game. You won't get 500 people if theres nothing to do, especially since we don't know if you can have even 50 people without lag/bad FPS. "pewpew"? So we all have bows or something in a game advertising as a melee game? We don't even have 500 backers yet

Good luck but why not do it right and wait a bit until you will be ready? Also its like you are changing what your product is again. First it was putting sandbox on as a buzzword and now it will be sandbox mmorpg pretty much but without the content people expect in a game like that

If this will be a huge advert for MBG you should have something good to show imo, or make it clear that its not a game that people are testing but an engine stresstest. People might write it off if it goes tits up tonight especially with no gameplay
