If they only count the rewards' worth, all those $1 backers are probably way higher up and could switch to their actual reward. Just saying...

Counts the backed amount, not just the tiers. =/

Well, as long as the total pledged amount is a sum of all pledges, I am not sure if number of backers at each tier reflects actual pledge or reward claimed:

1. some of the 1$ backers may actually be guys who made some investment in earlier internal funding. They will get higher rewards but their pledge now is 1$
2. some of the higher $ backers, who made some investment in earlier internal funding could have applied for $1 reward - and they will get higher reward eventually

So the number of backers attributed to certain pledge tiers (rewards) may be misleading as far as actual rewards are concerned. But the total amount of pledge is just a sum of all pledges.

The thing is that we are responsible for promoting the game, devs can't do everything on their own. So for now thing to do is just spam threads about Melee: Battlegrounds everywhere, on all kinds of forums, websites etc.
Still 3 weeks till the end of kickstarter campaign, for now it doesn't look promising, but things may change.
Melee combat games are not so popular, that is one thing the other is release date 2016 seems faar away from now and it might push away people from buying the game wich they might get chance to play in 16-18 months.
Devs need something big to show on their updates, something that will eventually attract potential backers.
Sadly the only thing that could possibly boost attetnion is adding to game some shitty manga alike armours that expose huge boobs  or adding premium accounts to xxx sites for all backers

The big thing tho is already out there: Stronghold.
I actually have a hard time understanding why this doesn't attract more people. Maybe we're not promoting enough...

If it doesn't work out you can always leave it a six months and try again. By then a playable alpha may be about and you could give reviewers early access to gain interest and then pump out the second kickstarter,

Yeah, sure, but that all of these activities should be started 8 weeks before the start of the kickstarter, not in second week of duration, and yeah, huge exposed boobs are better idea than most might think, serously, at the end of the day no method counts, only the effect
