FREE respec?

i could have swore that in the patch notes they were going to give us a free respec every 7 days or something?

Regular Characters do in fact get a free respec every 168 hours.  If you want access to that free respec on your "current hero" you'll have to first nominate an alt to become your new "current hero".  This requires a week to take effect.

Would it be particularly abusable if strat heros could respec every 7 days like others? ATM I have a useless alt as my strat hero which means theres no way I would take part in strat (not that i did much before anyway). Or could you just have like a 24 hour period after respec when you can't join strat or something?

Also can't understand this restriction. The only thing it does is keeping me away from Strategus.

Yep, and I, and probably many others, dont have so much xp and would like to respec their main, but still do strat

should give this for strategus characters too

even if that means everyone will play archer in the early strat and switch to other classes later, who cares. it's not like factions have only bows and arrows in their inventories; they buy other weapons anyways so there is a need for different classes to use them either way
