Honestly this seems to be an excellent way to eat healthy, fast and care-free. I would definitely prefer eating things like that when I need something easy, rather than pizza. I do enjoy eating good things, but sadly I can't eat nicely every meal.

Indeed. Took the words out of my mouth.

Might be similar to home made protein/nutribars.  Till you can actually get your hands on one of these,  look up some recipes and try yourself on them if you like.
Yes, I know from whence I came! Discontented as a flame, Upon myself I live and glow. All I grasp like lightning flashes, All I leave behind is ashes
Flame I am - that much I know!

It's cool in an astronaut food sort of way, but like astronaut food it is also crazy-expensive for what you get. Eating them at home or at work as a meal replacement seems silly. Spend 15 minutes in the morning making food, you manchild. If you're hiking or something like that this product makes more sense.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Pretty sure it's going to cost more for most people to try and eat nutritionally complete "normal foods" than to eat MealSquares. Healthy food in general is really expensive.

My budget is lower middle class, and its easy enough to grow food and prepare it for long term storage.  Aside from the military/on the go angle (which by the way is an extremely difficult market given just how many competitors are involved), I don't see where you're coming from with this.

The cost of the product alone, let alone the cost to ship it, is enough of a deterrent.  I can see governments buying this en masse but that's about it.

Do you live in an apartment in a city? How are you going to grow enough food? Even if you grew lots and lots of different stuff, you still wouldn't have a good deal of the stuff you need to have nutritionally complete food.

For $85 monthly?  That's a very tough sell.

It's obviously not the final price tag it'll carry.

That's the biggest problem with these types of portable food, they're very expensive to make.  Hence that price.
