Not really. It's way more accurate than in other games, and is about as accurate as you can make it.

Ive heard that as long as you play with someone silver it dosent matter, but you will notice the difference between silver and gold.

I have a cousin who have played CS 1.6 since it came out and in CS:GO he and his veteran friends have boosted their friends who are silver material to master guardian and up

But I do agree its pretty accurate compared to many other games with rankings.

And they'll fall back to where they belong when they play alone. Plus master guardian isn't really that big a leap from high silver/nova levels.

Never played higher than MG2 in MM myself but it was not that much better than silver/gold tbh, at the very highest ranks you do get some decent players but also some cheaters, if you want good PUG matches your best chance is ESEA imo.
