Using MW longbow and mw bodkins with 10 PD is doing pretty minor damage.  And if you read the other general discussion posts all the other archers are getting the same effect.  I think the max damage parameter of 15 for horse archers is kicking in for all archers for some reason.  Please check the code.  Thank you.

What if we made damage cap acidentally apply to your melee character grumbs?  I'm talking about a bug an frankly melee ahs always been FAR FAr easier to get valour consistently, definitely the OP class - i go on any agility or balanced build and its incredibly easy grumbs, maybe you should actually try a difficult class like ranged that does no damage and has to wear super light armor and constantly run down by agility builds with 10 athletics?

Wouldn't really matter because melee only fights melee. Its like saying you will nerf scissors when scissors only fights scissors, while archers have rock and scissors, so losing some damage on rock isn't so bad

Not that archers have lost damage..EU1 anyway still has the regular archers on top

Kesh I have not seen you get a melee kill in a long time (besides strat) let alone get valor.


To actually add on to the discussion, throwing is a ranged class that is wicked easy as is xbow. After a patch archery never seems like it is useful because you haven't made the right build for the new patch. I can say that I got killed by archers more so than melee yesterday. Not to mention the fact that you may not have realized but your bow lost 2 or 3 cut damage and bodkins lost 1 or 2 pierce damage.

Also I am pretty pissed about how HX has been nerfed into the ground.

PD is capped at 4, all above doesnt increase damage

Buff headshots/armor penetration back as it was at least, longbow +3 with 6 PD makes less than 20 damage per shot to a guy with 55 body armor.

You do have to account for the fact that people could have a lot of STR and IF on top of the armor that they wear.

Still, by having the best bow when it comes to damages, the best build when it comes to damages too, I expect slightly more effectiveness against armor crutchers. Can't do more than +3 longbow + +3bodkins + 10 PD

I mean San clearly just said he thinks your build is no longer the best build. I trust him just because he is one of Tydeus lackeys and he had a part in ruining HX.

lol, you must not play much on na1 anymore - unless I'm dicking around with a low level character grinding strat ticks and money or fooling around with a 1 powerstrike character almost always around top 3 as melee.  Lot easier to do than as ranged, because you get so few points in damage from archery.  yesterday i shot someone twice and got 0 points because I couldnt do enough damage with normal arrows and horn bow unloomed even with 7 powerdraw. 

Basically arrows do no damage anymore, bodkins with mw longbow and really high powerdraw do about 1/2 the damage of a guy with 5 powerstrike swinging a 34 cut weapon.  Something is wrong in the calculations.  I think damage bonus was misapplied or something, but no archers are doing damage even with headshots.  Please look into it devs.  We already are enrfed to being the hardest class to get valour with, don't need to add this on top of it.
