I wouldn't say I condone this, but there is such a thing as being too sensitive. That appears to be an act although racism of any form  in chat is unneeded. A ban seems too harsh for this.

I agree.. Ban is too harsh. Many people say the mentioned word because it is used as a form of slang. You shouldn't really be offended by it. After all people aren't perfect, and no matter how cool-headed they are, there is always that one moment when they know they'll regret it later but do/say it anyway.
