I wrote in this thread about loom refunds: Give us full loom respec with new uba patch!

And I think I should write it here too:

I'd say do that at least for loomed armors. There will be some awesome new pieces and we will most likely all be drooling over them. Maybe make it possible to refund looms for like 3 pieces of +3 armor (or maybe 4 for full gear) and everyone will still be hella happy.

Really, consider this. And it might at least convince some oldmy old friends to return.

I'm pretty excited for the new patch...should be pretty cool upgrade.  But, in all seriousness, it's a bit late to revive the game.  This should have been done at the very least last year before a majority of the population dwindled.

Hey guys, who are going to retire their high level chars before the patch. This is my personal opinion, but you never had a worse time to retire than now.
Patch changes levels, not exp. You'll lose all that exp for few loompoints you could otherwise get from alts, yet you lose a high level character which would be FAR more valuable after the patch because of easier/free respecs.

I don't think so. High lvl will matter only to those who are able to reach lvl 38. And this will be extremely hard even for players who are now at lvl 35 - current lvl 35 isn't even 1/3 of the xp needed to get to new lvl 38. So for everyone who don't plan to reach lvl 38 it probably makes sense to retire. Getting to lvl 36 (which will be second highest reachable lvl for almost everyone) will be reasonably easy, so 1 lvl for 8 loom points seems to be okay deal.

Most high level people now will be level 35/36/37 after the patch, which is at least better than the disparity we have now between the level 30 "norm" and level 35 heroes.

Heh, compared two lvl 36 builds in medium armor: 21-21 with 7 IF and 7 WM
(click to show/hide)
and 21-24 with 0 IF and 8 WM
(click to show/hide)

Build with 7 IF 7 WM has 152 effective wpf

while build with 0 IF 8 WM has 151 effective wpf

Yeah, the IF change was pretty clever I think. Basically, they make it very compelling to max IF if you wear real armor, while still allowing agility builds in light armor to forgo it without wpf penalty. Want to have survivability and still swing fast? Prepare to pony up a pile of skill points. Pretty damn balanced.

Current level system is too narrow. lots of players are in the same (top) level. Because of level range between 0 ~ 36  skill point distributions are usually same.

In my opinion, to give players more freedom about builds, maximum level should be set up to 80

I'd like to see sth like that, just with only 1 skill point gained per level instead of current 1 attribute and 2 skill points.

Well it gives some benefit compared to before, but you only really gain 14 hp in exchange for 1 athletics and 3 agility. Not sure about going to higher star instead tho for +1ps and 11less HP and a bit less wpf.I'd probably go with more HP and wpf
If you have ranged troubles use this:
