at some point, there were a couple cases with just one death in africa
You really need to find some time to visit Africa to understand why and how that happened. These international doctors, missionaries of all kinds, they have rubber gloves and a protective mask and that's it. They come in contact with bodily fluids of infected with those gloves. On the other side of the world, in US of A, doctors and all medical personnel that comes in contact with infected wear hazmat suits...
Most of poor, black Africans believe Ebola is doing of some witch or evil spirit and they avoid it because of that, not because it is highly contagious and deadly. So they let bodies of their loved ones, their friends, their neighbors rot inside their homes, at best government workers (equally unprotected) come to toss them somewhere else or in the best case, which is only happening in certain, wealthier states, those bodies are buried in mass graves.
But feel free to believe how your compatriots have the same level of medical care and protection as Liberians.
