In the days of yor it was common practice for military fighting force to be capable of multiple ranges of engagement.
From the Greek Peltast (late period heavy armour version) to Roman legionaries hurling pilums, Saxon Shield Walls hurling all kinds of shit and Germanic/Norse/Rus flinging axes. From English Yeoman (also bad arse mother fuckers with what ever they had in their Agincort), the Byzantine's trained the bulk of their infantry to be bow capable as well using throwing weapons (in the late period of the empire amusingly those throwing weapons were maces).
Basically, from a realism perspective being able to toss shit or shoot shit at people and thwack bitches in the head with heavy objects is tots legit.
From a game play stand point it would really change things up a lot.
The idea that I have is simple.
Double the output of weapons master and put a hard cap on wpf of 170.
I know that it would have an insane and frankly unpredictable impact on game play, but it could be fantastic.
It would also improve melee by giving them back skills points to burn into kicking arse while focusing their wpf into one area.
It will make 21/21 builds damn powerful though... but fuck it, that's the build I want anyway... so... BUFF FRANK!
