Oh, looks like another Macedonian tomb was found on Greek soil

Many think that the tomb is the house of Roxane, the wife of Alexander the Great, while others claim it belongs to a big Macedonian General (Androsthenes, Laomedon , Nearchus, Antigonus Monophthalmus)

My hope is that the tomb belongs to Alexander, so that the gypsie Skopjans shut their whore mouths once and for all.

Here are some pics, in case you don`t know what I`m talking about.

Here is where the tomb is located

This is the panoramic view of the tomb

The entrance of the tomb

At the entrance of the second room, there are 2 "kariatides" (female statues), 4 meteres each.

So far, the historians that dug the grave, have found 3 rooms, and they make way for a 4th one which probably is the burial room.

The last couple of days, there is a big fuss going on, about a German Auction house that sells stolen coins from the tomb of  Amphipolis, and the Greek government is gonna move legally against them for theft, and claim them back.

What the media of your countries say about the tomb? I`m really interested in knowing...

P.S - I`m laughing my ass with the gypsie Skopjans, who accuse us that we are stealing "their" history...up yours gypsies.

News in Germany: none.

Edit: Not completely true. Some online issue of a regional newspaper had an article middle of August.

Funny, since the locals oclaim that plenty of German tourists visited the village/tomb the last month, but what amazes me the most is that there are a lot of Turkish tourists there.

Nice, havent heard any news in the UK about it :(

Based on the panoramic view i'm surprised it's such a recent find, but then again i keep forgetting you have a lot of ancient and classical archaeology to sift through unlike us.

That entrance tho... that's the sort of thing you'd dream of finding.

There was another excavation 35 years ago, but the previous historian was digging from up, thus hitting on stone all the time , so the then Greek government left the project to die.

Some claim that the Greek government always knew the existence of the grave, but kept it secret to use it as a secret card in case of near elections etc etc.

"Promi" is a word for popular people "he is a Promi" "he is popular" - like a Hollywood actress is a "Promi". It's often associated with a negative undertone. Not necessarily in this case tho.

It doesn't really matter what Skopjans say or write, according to the professor they're all Serbs, Alexander the Great was in fact Lesandar Karanović and his was the third Arial Conquest, 1st and 2nd being those of his predecessors Nino Belov and Serbo Makeridov.
The main striking force of Alexander's army wasn't the phalanx but Serbian Cavalry (Serbička konjica).  :P
Tons of new "findings" can be heard at his lectures and read from his books.

Someone is butthurt

https://www.facebook.com/catherine.kazantzidisadractas/posts/10205038790355658

Honestly its not suprising. We used to have a macedonian in our clan once and the dude was a seriuslly touchy little shit. Honestly he would have capslocked you to death if you kept spamming "Alexander the Greek" in chat.
