Until they do some significant changes to combat I won't even be following this. Doubt that's gonna happen though, because it's made for tablets lol.

Alright guys, the final beta for the game is up and will last 2-3 months. I have been playing this and it is pretty fun, I can answer questions if you guys have any.

The game will be B2P on release, with optional premium that honestly isn't that hard to buy with the in-game currency.


It is a fun little grind-heavy medieval game. The combat feels similar to a MoBA with skill shots and the like, especially on higher levels. You also only have about 5 combat abilities, Q,W,E,R,D, which are from your weapons and armor.

There is full loot on death but only in some zone types. There are 4 zone types:

Green zones: Safe zones
Yellow zones: You have to flag yourself as hostile, players are able to see how many hostiles are in a zone, and a percentage of a player's durability gets converted to money and drops for you
Red zones: Full loot but you have to flag yourself to attack people and it says the number of players in the zone
Black zones: You get no info and is full loot and full pvp.

Pretty much all the higher level zones are red or black zones, you can also only get the higher tier crafting materials in these pvp zones.

All of the towns have local auction houses and banks. There is fast travel between major towns for a fee, however the fee scales based off the value of the items in your inventory making it impractical to fast travel with resources, forcing players to cross pvp zones if they wish to access other markets.


The game is often called a Medieval EVE online, so if you like EVE you will likely like Albion. If you aren't into grind heavy, more long-term goal games Albion won't be for you. I personally enjoy some boring Farmville type stuff so I have mainly been doing that in Albion as you can buy an island and plant a bunch of crops there, sorta like ArcheAge. (Though the Islands are their own instance you fast travel to, you can only fast travel to them from the town in which you bought the island)


The game has two main focuses and that is crafting and PvP. While it is possible to go it solo you are going to have the most fun in this game by joining up with a big guild and do some guild vs guild combat and fight over territories.

been interested in this for years now, but Im still going to wait until release I think. even though it wont be f2p now it hopefully will be cheaper than current box price, plus hopefully more complete too.

the low tech moba focus has made me less interested than I might have been if it had proper combat, but Im moving to sweden 2 years without my desktop so that side of it actually appeals alot more now. however I hope it isn't too good/addictive!!

even though its a hardcore sandbox mmo i;ve been waiting for I now hope it caters to filfy casuals/ solo players too. its hard to imagine I used to play mmos like darkfall 14 hour/day

no tablet, I just bought a phone and laptop which both have simular specs on paper, 1080p, 4gb ram and intel cpu, no proper gpu. both shud be able to run it, but yeah I wont be pvping on a fucking touch screen. the crazy part is a 1080p laptop costs at least 2-3 times more than a phone, ridiculous! sorry I cant stop complaining about how stupid the laptop market is.

about leveling, is there skill loss on death? if not what happens when everyone reaches max level? I should probably read up on it....

Yeah. Though you really only need to buy the initial game. I mean, money is pretty easy to make in this game. If you are really lazy you could buy ingame currency but it isn't going to give people a huge leg up. They can only use gear up to what they have leveled up to get and if they have leveled up their skills enough to wear the gear they should have been able to afford it anyway. It isn't too difficult to gear up, at least up to tier5, I don't know anything past that, because you will be likely be losing your gear quite regularly. If you aren't losing your gear regularly it means you are winning the fights and taking everyone else's gear. But buying ingame currency always saves some time I guess.

This seems to be the trend with games nowadays.. I am just happy there is no monthly fee.

No skill loss, just durability loss or gear loss. When everyone reaches max level it will be full out pvp war for territories I'd imagine. If you are afraid of everyone being able to do anything I think it would take years to max out every skill tree. Everyone still needs to specialize to some degree. If everyone maxed out every skill tree the economy would probably die since everyone could make all their own gear and resources. Doubt that will ever happen though.
