As for the non mainstream ones, anyone seen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Now_and_Then,_Here_and_There ? I found it pretty interesting, at first glimpse it looks like it's a kids anime but the story is very much for adults.

The weeaaboo scoundrels of FCC convinced me to give Shingeki no Kyojin a shot. Ten episodes in, I'm hooked- and this is coming from someone with an inherent Shik-like prejudice against japanese stuff. I didn't include a trailer because I didn't find one that doesn't portray it as yet another action anime. It's good because it's got a riveting air of empathic fear to it that I rarely see in anime. Yes. It makes you care.

Attack on Titan is nice, just I've read it all already, so the anime isn't as much fun.

The source material for Shingeki is fucking outstanding. I went ahead and watched the series before continuing on by reading the Manga. So far, i've loved it. Alot of good things to say about it really. The OST actually dropped today those of us who are fans of the music can get our hands on it finally.

Just watched it, best one so far and apparently they are going to keep going past the golden age (love it). This will have some great potential depending on how far they are willing to animate it

Btw, I've been hearing about Berserk from my friend as well, but know nothing about it. Why is it good? Because of the violence?

the story i would say, its just epic, the style is pretty good as well, the whole medieval scenario really fits well.
give it a try, i dont think anyone here playing crpg will regret watching Berserk, it is just to much up in the same ally for a good while

Gore, epic story, great medieval setting. If you watch berserk id say the anime is better, my opinion though but it has WAY better music than the recently released movies.
