It's not art, it's entertainment. There are differences.
 
For example, Naruto is crap while as Texhnolyze is deep, dystopic and downright(notice the triple alliteration, now that's art) mind-fuck incarnate.
 
Many people would probably drop it because its style is a bit depressing to try and comprehend. And the animations aren't grade A either, but that's not the point.

Watched almost all Bleach episodes and movies, my opinion - great anime, wroth watching. Dunno about Naruto, if it's crap or not, but if you ask me anything that teaches you about true life values is worth watching, so when I can I'll get some time and watch it.

Naruto is pretty good, been a while since i watched it, Naruto Shippuden is fucking sick though, haven't watched bleach myself, but i highly recommend Naruto Shippuden, definitly worth watching...

Maybe those who dislike Naruto watch it in english, not the way to watch it at all, infact, most animes are terrible in english and completely destroy it, perhaps watch it in japanese...

I never watch anything with dubs if I can avoid it, be it animated or live-action, Japanese or whatever language. The actors just never seem to do the originals any justice, subs are the way to go and I'm glad the TV and movie people in this country understand that.

Naruto, though? Come on, now, you'll be recommending DBZ next.

Nah, don't like Dragon Ball Z myself, but i'm telling you, Naruto Shippuden is a great anime, you should give it try, what anime you into okiN ?

Naruto Shippuden is a great anime

I was at my friend's place once, he watched like 3 episodes.

It was basically this:

2 guys standing in front of each other, typical zoom shots with moving camera, talking, talking, talking... for about 10 minutes
Then an emotional memory moment out of nowhere, another 5-10mins,
One starts the attack, but another "sad memory" moment happens, it's a quick one.

And just when the attacking character finally reaches the other one, the episode ends.

 

This pattern is just ridiculous.
(And I didn't even mention any fillers yet.)

FYI: I have nothing against telling a story, but a fighting sequence.. is a fighting sequence, damnit.

Yeah, this happens alot in anime series, i don't think Naruto is the only one, these work sometimes, but really we're all just waiting for the fights, there's usually alot of fillers and such, but again, i don't think Naruto is the only one, but it does have some great fights and storys, well done characters, has its sad and fun parts, overall, great anime, and i really enjoy it...

Yeah it's pretty common.

Nothing bad about liking the series though. If you do, you do. 

It's just that I can't stand these cheap "ways" to make a series longer, and longer.

I completely agree, if someone said to me, watch this, Shippuden for example, and it was one of these episodes, i'd be completely put off by it, in some cases it's needed, i get that, but sometimes it's just ridiculous, a flashback in a flashback, what the fuck. It can go on like this for many episodes, which in turn become fillers. I can understand they don't want to catch up to the manga and they want to give something to fans, but in all seriousness, i'd rather them give me a date of when it will continue and just completely cut out all of this crap...

This is my problem with anime in general(what little I've seen). You could easily cut them down to half their length. It doesn't make the show "deep" if the viewer is forced to reflect upon the animated face of the main character for 1 minute while he goes on in a monologue and then a 40min flashback followed by a 1 minute close up of the face again.

This is why I often lose interest in anime. In fact, the only anime series I've watched is Cowboy Bebop, which does a fair job in avoiding this. Seen a few movies, though. They were alright.

Yeah, it really sucks sometimes, i have alot of anime series and you don't see any of this kind of thing, it seems to be the ongoing animes that really have no idea when they'll be finishing that have this problem...
