Been looking for something new to binge-watch.

Brief spoiler-free synopsis of what it's about? Or is it hard to say without spoilering?

Genre?

It's good. Go watch.

watch it, heskey, it´s been a long time since I´ve given an anime a 10/10

I'm not gonna say the anime is bad, but there is no way it's ten out of ten. Got to be honest, I mean it took them 17 episodes to learn how to draw mouths from the side. That fact alone would make it alone a 9/10.

Bro I totally feel ya, this story hits a bit too close to home. Essentially this manga/anime, like many other, is critique of modern society, in this case neet subculture. I may be over analyzing this but when you think about it, put some pieces together it is obvious that:

(click to show/hide)

Maybe I'm over thinking it, but it does seem the author is former shut-in, neet and bi-polar person. I can't see why someone who isn't, would be so critical, it is known that most critical of certain behavior are people who experienced it to the fullest. Fat shaming comes from former fatties, abuse of alcoholics is mainly thing former alcoholics enjoy, poor people are treated badly by those who escaped poverty etc.

Self flagellation in episode 18 can really be too uncomfortable for some, especially those who find themselves to be in same situation as protagonist. It is excessive and can force someone to stop watching. You need to take in consideration that this is Japan we're talking about. Crazy country built on extreme working habits who also got hit by most unusual predicament, NEETs. Their hatred for such behavior is through the roof, mainly because of their working oriented culture.

Edit: This is an excellent read on the matter THE MELANCHOLY OF SUBCULTURE SOCIETY

I was going to give you a "+" but seeing your in-game name decided to give you a downvote. Suck it.
Well I roleplayed gay for long time to get Asca attention as harmless one but it didnt help. I only attracted Tueten, Cicero and Grey Order...

I once heard a similar theory about Samurai Flamenco, that the show was about the guys crazy fantasy that got more and more surreal as his insanity grew. I thought it was interesting, though it went along with the guy saying the show was shit if his idea wasn't true.

The reasons I'm not enjoying the show is because of a few things. The first is I'm not really into the Moe lovy dove thing, not my kind of thing so I miss out all that part of the show. The other problem is the show seems to have no clue how to pace itself. It between the last two episodes, there's been like 40+ minutes of exposition straight, they just stand around planning and talking. Although I looking forward to whats coming up next, and before this long exposition streak, there was a good action scene. Other stuff too, but I'm probably just being nit picky.

Actually it's less than that even.

First two are full bore, third is meh. Episodes that come after are interesting, I'm amazed how they develop completely irrelevant characters who don't stay on screen for more than ten minutes. That first 'villain' is extremely interesting.

Those animes (or tv/movies) that do that are the best.
After a time watching all these different stories, you can easily foretell who dies and who lives too easily if the scenario is too lazy to develop everyone somewhat equally.

Warning: LOUD

I expected something similar after watching the episode. Animations seems to be improving, slightly at least. Some parts were cgi like usual, but much smoother framerate wise so that it actually looked rather good.
