How come English anime dubs sound so horrible?

Budget, multiple chars dubbed by the same person using fake different voices. Bad quality voice actors. Shitty emotion sincronization, etc etc

Dont know what i hate more, squeaky high pitched jap female voice acting or bad dubs

How come English anime dubs sound so horrible?

They are generally pretty ass, but Berserk for some reason, has a pretty manageable dub. I think it has to do with dubbing english isnt seen as such a big deal, but japanese actually praise good voice actors. Cant remember where i heard this, but im sure i did read it somewhere.
