Also i highly recommend No game no life
This anime tries to make sexualization of minors and non-consensual sexual humiliation against females look like fun and a very natural thing to do. Not saying it does so on purpose, but I can't see how people don't notice something is wrong. Inb4 bullshit like "this is Japan" and "all anime do it": Yes, anime are known for addressing taboos, but when they do, they either direct sympathy away from rapists, murderers and the like (e.g. SAO Fairy Dance Arc), or tell a moral tale that explains a situation in which circumstances made the person act the way they do (e.g. HUNTERxHUNTER Chimera Ant Arc). No Game No Life is really something else, showing scenes that border rape in a completely unreflecting manner.
Even if you ignore these aspects, the show is still bad.
- There is no convincing evidence why the main characters are losers in their home world but geniuses in the game world; there is too much proof that both worlds actually work in the same manner. For example, the weak are exploited without any moderation in both worlds, and bending or redefining the rules of the game is rewarded in both worlds. What is stated at the beginning, that the protagonists don't understand how life works because there are no rules and restrictions, is simply not convincing given the fact that the rules and restrictions of the game world are permanently ignored by the protagonists themselves.
- The puzzles don't invite for participation because the solution is always far-fetched and explained with information the viewers didn't have at the start.
- Since the show is not smart, what else could it offer? Fanservice, which is completely overdone and borders rape. And humor, which is severely restricted to fanservice in this show. The soundtrack isn't memorable and art and animations don't shine out either.
I rate 2/10. The strong point of the show is that it's short.
