I read many of the threads. There was no clear cut answer and no real developer input in those. Did you bother to read them? You haven't added a damn thing.
That said, no they aren't going to flap around. That's not even worth b!tching about. They don't look bad, I am sure many clans would love to have their symbol on a carry banner, but you didn't consider them, did you?

invariably couching in your direction, penis banners are not allowed. The fuzz even took away the tuxedo banner, if I understand correctly, and there was nothing wrong with that.
Napoleonic wars has them and they are damn cool. Full invasion 2 has them, and it just looks amazing charging into the enemy onslaught with your banner. It speaks to the human ideal of heroism.
Of course, you wouldn't know anything about that, now take your attitude and get the hell out of here.
