Ninja Edit: the pause in time for Japan's counsel would have given the US bombers more raids and subsequently more civilian deaths. The raid on Tokyo killed over 100,000 people alone while the other raids had similar devastating effects. A pause of 15 days would have gotten somewhere 50,000 and 150,000 more people killed due to the war continuing.

Now back on topic, flying over Japan to kill a city, or flying majestically over New York to smear some Americans, it's crazy to think that they were probably inventing the exact same justifications in their minds as they did it:
- An eye for an eye

Every argument i've ever heard an American use to defend killing 2 cities in Japan can be equally applied to justify why swooping into the Twin Towers was a good thing. The only main difference is that one of them was just a group of deranged radicals, the other was following direct orders from a deranged government on the behalf of a nation that still doesnt feel any remorse over it. But senpai, the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were aimed at military installations that were there, all the people were just collateral damage and were not the main target. That is a country making a war time decision to destroy military assets. 9/11 is an act of terror directly aimed at non militant civilians. That seems like a pretty huge difference to me.
