Just make the roll a thing you can do whenever.

Ps.  Roll is faster than running.

Only if you take 40ish blunt damage from the fall from horse back...

Maybe a bit more nuanced:
Or 10 raw unchanged damage+20*(1+speed bonus from speed if horse was moving) blunt damage.

yes, that would be fair
if infantry can roll when bumped, cavmen should be able this too when dehorsed

Lol k try getting hit by a plated charger IRL and falling off a horse. Plated charger will break all your bones, falling off a horse will not.

Only person to get injured from falling from a horse is superman.

If you implement this, you need to take away horse corpse hit absorption.

Every melee attack can hit one person and one horse.  I'm almost convinced the reason people don't hit the guy while he's falling is because the server doesn't know where the guy is, not because the horse is absorbing the hit.

Dead horses saved too many rider's lives. If riger is under a horse he should get dmg. If he is on top, then not, because he can get dmg from melee.

Yea the whole dehorse animation takes about 4-6 seconds depending on what kind of terrain your horse is killed on.

The only time horse corpse absorption is really a factor is when you have all the enemy infantry and archers spamming attacks where they "think" the rider is. The rider is usually not near the horse...

It's always a huge cluster fuck whenever you kill a cav person.

Cav imo is the easiest class. The standards for cav are just very low, so many people play lazily.

It's somewhat unintuitive in certain situations, so it takes a few days-week to learn the tricks.
