I`m thinking to replace to stock cpu cooler with another one, I have 50 euros to spare.

I was thinking to buy this   http://www.e-shop.gr/showDetail_main.phtml?id=PER.806760  what do you guys think?

That one is nice but I'd rather skip the high end fan altogether and wait until you can buy a CPU closed loop watercooler.

Zalman CNPSX10 Optima should be cheaper and will work the same, but yeah that'll do fine.

Just make sure it'll fit in the case.

The difference is about 5C between a H80i and my Zalman CNPSX10 Optima (and I only have it in push atm, 1 fan).
Both are 4GHz 4770k (Mine and my friends)

I imagine the difference would open up at higher frequencies, but unless you have a tiny case or have the money lieing around, get the air cooler for now.

Liquid coolers do a better job at producing low noise, usually anyway. They also tend to be less bulky and do not mess up the airflow as much.

I have to say i recently installed a Corsair h100i and it's a piece of cake. I had more problems with my modular psu
It keeps my i7-4790k @4.3ghz under 70c after 30mins of prime95 and it's so silent i've to hold my ear next to the case to hear something. (case fans off)

Had one, nice cooling for the price but the pins and istalling were pain in the ass and I ended up selling it.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

70C?!?

It shouldn't be anywhere near that hot with a H100i, is the fan working properly on it?
It should be around 60C if that; with a H100i, even with that OC and prime95.

I did some googling, seems to be a common problem :O
Seems to be either to do with the H100i either not being plugged in right, or loose backplate.
Orrr, it might be to do with the 4790k overvolting whenever it's using the AVX command set. (Derpiness by intel)

Does the corsair logo light up when it's on?
And does the fan spin?

70C is a completely acceptable temp for a prime95 torture test. No real application will ever require that much effort from the CPU, so it's not like you are going to reach 70C every day. The H80i's fan was probably stuck at low rpm or something.

Installing closed loops is barely more complicated than installing a fan these days. You just have to make sure there is a free fan slot in your case and enough space to fit everything in. A closed loop mean no leak, no stress and no headaches :D

I know i sounds hot :P i ran a torture test for 30 mins, max temp reached was 72, average temp about 63 on all cores. (realtemp) my casefans are low rpm (to lazy to setup a profile in my bios) and my room temp is about  25. The corsair logo does light up, but corsair link wont detect it (seems to be a common issue). the two fans are both spinning(push) the 3pin connector is plugged in to a fan header on my board (not the cpu one, cuz out of reach). The backplate is properly secured.
When i play games like BF4 on max settings my temp doesnt pass 55 (peak) and is about 45 average.
Idle temps variate between 29-33 on all cores.

Ah that's not nearly as bad.

Strange it reached 72C though, I thought it's performance would be closer to a full watercooling setup.

Ignore my ramblings, sounds fine :P

Nice, must be really awesome.

I have no PC for almost 2 months now, so if someone knows how to appreciate stuff like that, it's me. :D
