Lock up/ Low frame rate

I get sudden lockups in game. I can run the game fine. Even if it is 5 v 5 my game will lockup for a few moments work fine a little bit and then lockup again. It has only started to this since I updated to Windows 8.1 anyone know how to fix this?

I have tried running WSE, CRPG launcher in compatibility mode but it doesn't help. It actually runs fine when minimized. Warband works fine and so do my other mods.

I don`t know the solution to your problem, but if I was you, I`d join IRC and  poke cmp about it, 100% success.

Tried twice no response. So I probably will give up on this mod.

Run WSE2 beta, turn off all graphically intensive settings, then slowly turn them back on again starting with the most likely culprit. If you still have problems after temporarily downgrading your settings, I am not sure what the problem is. Make sure that loading textures on demand is turned off if you see that option anywhere.

Yeah my FPS has been garbage lately. It doesn't matter if my graphics settings are ultra high or abysmal, I'm stuck at 20 FPS.

edit: I turned off WSE2 and switched to Directx7 and my FPS was back to normal.

OK none of those worked. And another stupid thing is when I am in game and I bring up the menu with ESC I can see in the background that everything is fine and running smoothly.

I had this problem until I began to use the WSE2 beta. Perhaps you should try if you haven't yet.

try to turn of  gpu acceleration(improvement) for mnb, i had that that problem for some time after installing a new nvidia driver
