I put it in and the game worked
Server has like 20 peeps on now

I used a new key so now I've lost my characters D:

You maybe able to find it in your registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MountAndBladeWarbandKeys.

Run regedit.exe to go look for it and don't change anything or you'll probably break stuff.

I had the poor luck of changing machines while this is going on, so my only option is to rely upon steam to retrieve my CD Key. It doesn't seem to be very good at it.

When it ask for a CD-KEY, I go to get mine, but it says.... 'Requesting CD-KEY"

How do I check if I have it written down?

Edit: Yea I am fucked. (It doesn't have the serial key, just the activation code.)

So I put in my serial # and it says "incorrect serial number" or something like that.


It's the one I have from steam, which is correct (I've installed WB on 3 machines now and have had the same characters on it each time).  Any idea what gives?


Also how the fuck do I run regedit on windows 8?

So my serial keys are empty on my M&B.  I hope adding my serial keys in regedit will fix my issue *fingers crossed*
