I wouldn't worry about breaking anything while building it.
I got my 0 experience friend to build one, he's the clumsiest person I know, he built his perfectly.
Everyone has to start somewhere
(there are plenty of youtube guides online, many show you exactly what to do).
If you insist however:
http://www.originpc.com/configuratorSeem to be Ok pricewise (they do add on like $300 :S), nice website though :p. (They seem to be ok review wise too)
Ended up being around $1650 with the Corsair 350D (nice case), you can reduce it to ~$1500 going with the Hadron case.
Hopefully this is with tax

And windows 64bit 7/8 either will do.
Make sure to pick all the freebies that apply ;) (I picked the blue ray as it comes free with i5's
)
This is before tax, so it'll probably end up being ~$1500 like the Origin one.
The Alienware I posted before is another possibility, not sure if $1164 is before tax or not (hopefully
)
I have a feeling cyberpower will end up being cheaper and probably slightly better parts than the origin one (90% the same, so it's no biggy).
The alienware isn't OCable, but has a better CPU, but slightly worse graphics.
It's probably the difference between starcitizen on high and very high @1080p. (760ti might squeeze into very high, not sure
)
